Mock Orange
(Philadelphus)

Mock Orange is a native North American Shrub.  The shrub grows between 3 and 10 feet tall.  The Mock Orange has showy white flowers that occur in clusters of 3 to 15. The shrub is typically very low maintenance.  Mock Orange provides excellent cover and habitat for wildlife.  The Mock Orange is also good for restoration projects. It has a medium tolerance for drought.

Site requirements:  Adapted to soil textures that range from coarse to medium. The mock orange is shade intolerant. Tolerates a pH of 5.6-7.8.
