Maidenhair Tree
(Ginkgo biloba)

The Maiden Hair tree is an ornamental/ shade tree that is adapted to street use.  The Maidenhair tree grows at a moderate rate, especially if it receives enough water.  The Maidenhair tree is a good urban tree due to its ability to tolerate drought, heat, and poor soils.  The Maidenhair tree grows in acidic, alkaline, drought tolerant, loamy, moist, rich, sandy, silty loam, well drained, wet, and clay soils.
